From an idea to a reality
Our Story
In August 2021, we were five freshman beginning our college journey at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida: Annelise Castro, Nazrin Jabbarli, Isabella Gurdian, Anthony Givans, and Enzo Cardozo. All of us met two months later in an introductory business technology course, and we soon realized that 4 out of 5 of us were international students (Peru, Azerbaijan, United States, Jamaica, and Paraguay, respectively). When we were brainstorming, we discussed how we were homesick for the food of our native countries, and that's how Foodi was born. We developed an app where we could easily find options for our favorite cuisines, and we expanded it to allow anyone to use our app, with multiple preferences so that everyone can find what they're looking for.
